Terms of use
Last updated 24 September 2026These are the terms for using Wattson, a service of Liteworx (operated by JMW Product Consulting, LLC), during its pilot period. They are written in plain language on purpose. By creating an account or uploading a drawing set, you agree to them.
What Wattson is
Wattson reads the drawing sets you upload and answers questions about them, citing the sheet each answer came from. It is a reading tool. It is not an engineer, an estimator, or a substitute for the stamped drawings, the specifications, or the applicable code. An answer tells you what the set says, as far as Wattson could read it; it does not tell you what the set should say or what the code requires.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for verifying any answer against the drawings before acting on it in the field, in a bid, or in a submittal. Wattson states a confidence level with every answer and says when an answer is not in the set; treat anything below High, and anything that matters, as a pointer to the sheet rather than a fact. Installation decisions, code compliance and safety remain yours and your licensed professionals'.
Your drawings
You keep all rights to the drawing sets you upload. You confirm you are entitled to upload them — that you hold them as a contractor, bidder or owner on the project, or otherwise have permission. We handle them as described on the privacy page, which is part of these terms.
Accounts
Accounts belong to a company and are opened with a business email address. You are responsible for who in your company has access. Do not share sign-in codes outside your company.
Acceptable use
Use Wattson for reading your own project drawings. Do not use it to extract or redistribute drawing sets you do not have rights to, to probe or overload the service, or to build a competing dataset from its answers.
Pilot terms and price
Wattson is in an early pilot. Running a set and receiving a one-page report costs nothing. Any paid arrangement for ongoing use is agreed separately in writing. The service, its features and these terms will change during the pilot; we will tell you when they do.
No warranty; limits on liability
Wattson is provided as-is during the pilot, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, Liteworx and JMW Product Consulting, LLC are not liable for losses arising from reliance on an answer, including rework, delay, failed inspection or bid error; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, which during the free pilot is zero.
Ending the arrangement
You can stop using Wattson and delete your sets at any time. We can suspend or close an account for misuse. Either of us can end a pilot with written notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Questions or notices: hello@liteworxco.com.
These pilot terms were written in plain language for a small number of early customers. Before a paid agreement or a marketplace listing, have an attorney review them; this page is not legal advice.
